Our End of Season Dinner took place at Sandy by the Bay on March 4th.
During the evening, the winner of this season's Matt Harris Most Improved Umpire award was announced.
Congratulations to Aaron Ezekiel for receiving the Most Improved Umpire award. Aaron began as a Club Umpire, was encouraged to join the panel, and has continually improved through the grades, ultimately earning the 'Most Improved Umpire Award' for the 2024-25 season.
This award was instigated on the occasion of the retirement of the late Matt Harris in 1988. Matt served the VSDCUA as an umpire, officiating in 352 matches. His generous original gift and subsequent further donation to our Association was used to establish a fund to recognise the most improved umpire each season, which is selected by the Umpires Coach.
