Dear Umpires,
On behalf of the Committee, I extend to you all a Happy New Year, and we hope you had a restful break over the Christmas period.
As we embark on the second half of the season, I wanted to take a moment to welcome you back and express my appreciation for your dedication and hard work. The new year brings fresh opportunities and challenges, and with your continued commitment, we will maintain the highest standards in our games. Your role as umpires is essential, and your efforts do not go unnoticed.
As we move forward, I would like to remind everyone of the importance of mutual respect. It is crucial that we extend the same courtesy to our fellow umpires, both on and off the field, as we expect from others when umpiring.
Respect and professionalism are the cornerstones of our community. We, along with the VSDCA, strive to create a positive and supportive environment for everyone, and expect adherence to the Victorian Code of Conduct for Community Sport which can be found under policies and can also be viewed on page 8 of the VSDCA Handbook.
Thank you for your dedication, and I look forward to a successful second half of the season with all of you.
