A splendid evening including dinner has closed out the 2023-2024 season.
In addition to the announcement of the Team of the Season and individual Medal winners, the audience was treated to a "frank and fearless" interview with former Australian captain, Tim Paine.

2. VSDCA umpire reports - end of season
There are no individual end of season reports for umpires this season. It has been a difficult year to collect and collate information in almost every area influenced by OfficialsHQ, and umpire reports are no exception. Rather than spend a great deal of time seeking information that may be incomplete or inaccurate, we fall back on this simple message:
Across the board, umpiring is at a good acceptable standard. Where difficulties have arisen, we have endeavoured to provide support for umpires to improve their knowledge of the Laws, VSDCA Rules, and the game in general.
Feedback on any aspect of VSDCA umpiring is available on request.

I'm excited to announce that the 2024 Umpire Development Program is now live on Cricket Victoria’s website here. This program is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of umpires from a holistic point of view. Highlighted below are the program timelines:
Program Timelines:
Day 1: Tuesday, 18th June (6:30 PM - 8:30 PM)
Day 2: Sunday, 23rd June (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Location: In-Person at CitiPower Centre, Cricket Victoria
